“Golden week” has passed so quickly.

Since there was a “Golden week”, I had something to do a bit, posting blog is for the first time in a long time.
It has passed more than a week after “Golden Week”, but I would like to post a little about the place where I went to in “Golden Week” holidays.

What is “Golden week”, by the way?

Golden week is the week that the holiday lasts from late April to early May.
(The period from 2018.4.28 (Saturday) to 2018.5.6 (Sunday) is often called Golden week in this year.)
Although national holidays are fixed, depending on the connection with weekend holiday, it may become a large consecutive holidays depending on the year.
Many people take a short trip or go abroad in this period, but we decided to avoid crowded place and spend time in our neighborhood this year.

A symbol that stands out even from a distance

In downtown area, it is well known that “Tokyo Skytree” is a symbol that stands out even from distance.
Since lack of daily exercise, and weather was also good, we took a walk and went to Tokyo Skytree.

Tokyo Skytree

Tower View-dori Street. The total length is about 1.2km(0.745mi).

We took a leisurely walk from home about an hour, then Tokyo Skytree which is 634m high came into sight.
As I walked through the well-paved “Tower View-dori Street”, Tokyo Skytree came closer in every second.
It was a pattern which was collaborated with “Avengers / Infinity War” on this day, and the rainbow color was very beautiful.

The weather was nice on this day and it looked so beautiful.

Children’s Day

There are so many carp streamers(=”Koinobori”).

After walking for a while, when we arrived at Tokyo Skytree, many carp streamers(=”Koinobori”) were swimming near river and Skytree.
In Japan, there is a custom that we put “Koinobori” up on Children’s Day(5th of May) for wish of children’s healthy, strong growth and promotion like carp climbing up a waterfall.
Because there was a Children’s day in Golden week, “Koinobori” festival was held at that day.
There were not so many people compared to usual holidays, so it was nice to take a walk while looking slowly!

It was said there were 1,000 of Koinobori in total.

Even I became an adult…

Although it is rich, it is never too sweet and I have eaten it in a blink of an eye.

Even I became an adult, soft-serve ice cream is still my favorite.
Although I told that coming here for taking a walk, this was also the purpose in fact. :p

Two characters which have soft-serve ice cream are cute.

There is a ice cream shop named “63°C” near the escalator of Tokyo Skytree, 4F.
The soft-serve ice cream here is very rich and tasty, so I cannot stop eating!
I chose “sesame cone” and “premium milk”, the cone was also crispy with a refreshing flavor, it was very suitable with “premium milk”.
For eating this again, I would like to take a walk and visit Tokyo Skytree!

I would like to eat all types!
